Time has been getting away from me lately. Seems like everyday just disappears before I know it.

Ava is getting big, and is smiling and talking more each day. 

School is out for the summer.  Remember those days?  How good it felt to have all of that free time.  Three of my co-workers retired last Friday.  They're getting that old feeling back right now too.  I hope I'm lucky enough to retire some day.  Sounds swell.

Duty

We did our taxes on Saturday. We have to pay this year. Again.

Daylight Savings Time starts this Sunday.  I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing.  It will feel an hour earlier in the morning for a while, which sucks.  The sun has been coming up on my way to work the last couple weeks.  It'll be dark again for a while.  On the good side, the afternoon is longer.  It's like instant spring feel, having good light until after 7pm.  More time to get that walk in after work. 

Lent starts tomorrow.  I'm going to try something new this year and give up negative thoughts.  It's gonna be tough.  I can do it.

Happy 35th Birthday to my brother Tom!  He's one of a kind and a hell of a guy.

We moved Alex into the newly finished basement bedroom today.  My guess for delivery date is March 28th.  She will be here before we know it.  Life moves so fast.

The basement is progressing nicely.  After a week of back pain, it finally subsided. The finishing guy quoted the job, then did the job.  They finished Wednesday.  We primed it all last night and today, and got the ceiling painted.  Walls will get painted tomorrow.  Hoping to get it painted, trimmed, and carpeted by next Sunday so we can get her moved down there.  That's a lot of work. It's making these cold winter days go a little faster though.

I blew my back out shoveling snow last night.  Winter is hard this year. 

Angie and I have been talking a lot about possibly going back to Jamaica some time this year.  We want to go back to San Souci, which is where we went on our honeymoon.  May 6th will be our 25th anniversary.  We deserve it don't we?
